Welcome to the blog of the Young Queens Historian, this blog is run to set the following goals; to update the community on interesting cultural, artistic, literary and musical elements and or events happening in Queens, particularly in The Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill, Astoria, Flushing, Corona, Jamaica, and for all those that I do not name of the top of my head, do not worry you will find your names honored constantly in this blog! As well I will take to honoring important artists and talented people that are deserving of recognition (all though all artists of all qualities are deserving of recognition, and I wish I could give words of praise to all those who write, paint, draw, play or whichever is the calling of your spirit.)
A little about myself, I do not like to be self absorbent so this will probably be what little I talk of myself throughout the experience. I am a young Flushing resident and have spent my entire life in the womb of Queens, and was born in her embrace as well. I am Head Of Research and Marketing at Go Antiques Inc, a little antique store with a wide global operation running in 11609 Queens Boulevard in the neighborhood of Forest Hills bordering Kew Gardens; We can be seen here: Foresthillsantiques.com and you can see our wide plethora of different and valuable antiques, at affordable prices. As well I run my own blog a small appraising company looking to develop as a non-for-profit organization for evaluation of antiques, which is called Antiques From Beyond and that could be found here at Antiquesfrombeyond.blogspot.com.
As well I am a writer and an artist and when I feel that my work is up to par I will be displaying it prominently but as of now as I hone my techniques and abilities, I will keep them at a more discreet level.
I also do restoring work and have multiple years of experience, and have quite the portfolio, dealing with restoring antique pieces and even modern pieces alike. I as well frame objects with custom made framing, done all from scratch, All that work will be available at my Antiques blog website listed in the previous paragraph

Finally I find an esteemed position among the board of the Friends of Maple Grove, as Chairman Of The Arts Division. The group caters to the community in exciting events and opportunities, and as the years go by, we keep experimenting and exploring new and exciting ideas and become ever more-so creative in our ventures. Most of the events will be centered around Friends of Maple Grove for now, but as the reach of the site broadens I wish to explore many new organizations and as well include my coverage of all their exciting events, This blog might as well not even be exclusive to Queens, but keep in mind my heart will always be in promoting Friends of Maple Grove, in order to honor the memories of those who have lived their amazing and wonderful lives here and shared their experiences with those in the Queens community of the past and now find their final resting place in Maple Grove Cemetery.
